(UPDATE MAY 10: I figured it out. Apparently the culprit was the CoComment Firefox extension I installed recently…)
Recently I upgraded to the Firefox 18.104.22.168 web browser for the Mac. It seems to be working fine, but I suspect there may be problematic incompatibilities with some of my favorite online services — especially Furl and Typepad.
Here are the problems I’m seeing. I have queries in to Furl and Typepad about them, but in the meantime is anyone else seeing these particular problems?…
- Furl: I can save a web page just fine in my Furl account. However, if I try to save and e-mail (a handy simultaneous function Furl offers, which I’ve often used), Firefox gets hung up. Eventually I have to quit the browser and restart.
- Typepad: Twice in the last couple of days I’ve written an entry in the Typepad form and hit the button to save it as a draft. Infuriatingly, only the title gets saved — the body of the posting vanishes.
…I don’t know for certain whether these problems are related to Firefox incompatibility, but I’ve only experienced them since upgrading my browser. Is anyone else seeing these problems? Please comment below or e-mail me.
