| Barcelona, Baby! I’m so there! |
September, October, and November are going to be very busy months for me. I’ll be speaking at several events — including one in Barcelona, woo hoo!
Here’s the list, so far:
Upcoming speaking engagements:
- Sept. 8: Soc. of Environmental Journalists conference, Stanford Univ., Palo Alto, CA. Plenary: “Toward a New Journalism”
- Oct. 1: Knight New Media Center seminar, Decision-making for Online Editors. Speaking in a session about online community and conversation.
- Oct. 7: Soc of Professional Journalists conference, Washington, DC. Session: “Web Productivity and Tech Tools Workout,” presenting with Barbara Iverson.
- Oct. 8: Training seminar at the American Chemical Society, Washington, DC
- Nov. 8: Blog World Expo, Las Vegas. Organizing panel session on citizen journalism.
- Nov. 19: Online Media Week, Barcelona, Spain. “Participatory journalism in the USA: opportunities and challenges.” Presenting with Jan Schaffer.
Will you be at any of these events? Please find me and say hi!
And, as I mentioned earlier, I’m going to South by Southwest in March 2008. I’m not on the speaking lineup (yet) but I’m really excited about it! I could use advice on Austin accommodations for the festival. If you know of good places to stay there, please comment below.
