I think they’re onto something. Forbes ran a comparison story on CEOs with no formal education vs CEOs with MBAs and PhDs.
They discovered that companies run by CEOs without any formal education actually did better than companies run by degreed CEOs.
I’m betting the same holds true for young people diving into journalism and “just doing it” versus those who study it formally.
