Yeah, 8 years ago I used to love Nokia phones. In fact my first cell phone was from Nokia. But now they keep introducing those boring phones. It’s almost the same model. They lack the speed and innovation. Without the great after service and taking the risk off the American customers, it’s hard to beat Apple.

This is perhaps one of the best worded and most pertinent article I’ve read in a long while. I agree COMPLETELY 100% on all points (as I’ve written about the exact same issues that you bring up. I just sold my N95-3 so that I may be ready to get a new 3G iPhone (if they fix enough things about their device) otherwise I’ll probably settle for a Black N82 until something else popps up. The IMPORTANT part is that Nokia’s SERVICE is what is really the hingepoint for my decision. We’ll see what happens in the coming days WHICH company gets my money.

Great points Amy. And Eric, while my colleagues know of the problems, I need to keep showing them comments from folks like you and Amy to put pressure on them to actually _do_ something.

Also, “So it’s still meant mainly for mobile content consumers, not creators.” Yeah, Apple focuses on ‘me’ and ‘my media’ for consumption. And the N95 is more about doing things on the move - creation. But, the ‘norwegians’ here need to realize that there’s more than just the device, but support and service too.

Together we can keep the pressure up.

@Eric: BTW, Nokia is in Finland, not Norway.

nokia seriously displeased many, many customers with their non existent service and the limitations of their product’s use. i hope many people go and buy from the competition so the norwegians learn a lesson.
