Parade is is damage-control mode over this gaffe. I’m amazed this AP story didn’t challenge them on their methods more directly. This piece could have been a press release from Parade. Bah.

“If it were any other month, or weekend, Parade might have had a shot at a reprint. But, since atyear end, every plant manager was pushing every last inch of product out the door, or else they’re out the door, and there’s only so many hours in a day.”

Pretty good overview of how Twitter can be useful to journalists.

Hmm — I see someone has picked up on the AP/stenography reference. One of us is not as original as we once thought.
But you can’t expect much more than stenography from the AP these days. It’s another plodding dinosaur that will soon have to adapt or die.
LOL, Wenalway I assure you I didn’t crib the AP/stenography reference from anyone, but I don’t think it’s a particularly novel connection so I’m not surprised others have used it independently.
Did you write about this? Link please?
Thanks!
