At the urging of several friends and colleagues, I just ordered this book. Apparently it tells people like me how to have a more manageable and fun life, without being a slave to work.

Columnist Cory Doctorow describes how Facebook and other social networks have built-in self-destructs: They make it easy for you to be found by the people you’re looking to avoid. I don’t agree with him, but it’s an interesting perspective.

Excellent bit of media analysis: “Compare coverage of polyamory to that of 2 similar movements: swingers and BDSM. Polyamory somehow seems to be ahead in terms of credibility, despite probably being smaller in terms of numbers.”

Will allow customer to us “wireless devices, software and applications not offered by Verizon. Verizon Wireless plans to make this available by the end of 2008.” I’m shopping for a cell phone provider, this definitely makes Verizon worth a look.
