Ouch! That hurts but I stand corrected. We will certainly try and more accurately direct our strategic comments in the future.

Dov, I appreciate you wanting to push your product, but what you wrote obviously has nothing to do with serving Mac users -- which was the point of this post. Pretty crappy marketing tactic. But I'll let your comment remain as an excellent example of how *not* to do strategic commenting.

Hi Amy,

While a Mac version is still a bit down the road for us, I wanted to let you know about a cool backup program that offers FREE and UNLIMITED backup.

With Zoogmo you control where your files are backed up by building a backup network of your own or your friends’ computers. You can even backup to an external hard drive of your choice.

Zoogmo runs silently in the background and automatically backs up ALL of your data over the internet, using a combination of Triple-DES and AES 256 encryption to make sure that only you have access to your files.

Check out the Zoogmo beta at www.zoogmo.com to download Zoogmo for free and begin turning your social network into your backup network.

Remember, with Zoogmo you have no annoying monthly fees - totally free unlimited backup you can trust!

This is exciting news. I beta tested Carbonite on the PC at my office, and it was outstanding. It works absolutely silently in the background without degrading performance at all. Set it and forget it! I've been waiting for something like this for the Mac, so I'll definitely be signing up for the beta.

Amy: Yes, the beta will be free. A paid subscription will be $49.95 per year for unlimited backup, just like our PC offer. There aren't a lot of good choices for Mac – either the products are very expensive or they don't seem to work very well. I can't wait to get ours in the market – Apple is very excited about Carbonite, too.
