I beta tested Carbonite on the PC at my office, and it was outstanding. It works absolutely silently in the background without degrading performance at all. Set it and forget it! A paid subscription will be $49.95 per year for unlimited backup, just like our PC offer. There aren't a lot of good choices for Mac – either the products are very expensive or they don't seem to work very well.
