Embracing Your Learning Curve with Citizen Journalism

One thing that often holds people back from doing citizen journalism is that they don’t feel like they know enough about an issue or event to cover it well.

I’ll let you in on a secret of journalism: You don’t have to be an expert to be a good reporter. In fact, it helps to embrace your learning curve and just be willing to start reporting from wherever you happen to be along that curve.

  3. It appears that Typepad (the service which hosts I, Reporter) is having some issues at the moment. The link I posted is correct, but the article is not on the site. I just tried to log in to typepad and it’s down for maintenance. Hopefully this is a temporary problem. If Typepad ate my article, I’ll be quite annoyed. I’ve had enough server woes this week already.
