I have my site, my husband's, our marching band, dance school and will soon be putting our church site up on Startlogic. Wordpress is part of their free extras, their service has been extremely reliable and the price definitely right.

I have been quite pleased with TotalChoiceHosting.com, both in terms of low cost and in terms of highly professional and fast customer service and tech support. I also use a WordPress blog and installed it myself before I noticed that TotalChoiceHosting.com had it as part of their available free extras. Since I didn't use theirs, I can't say for certain how easy the process it, but I think you just have to "activate" it.

In addition, if you are using Cpanel to run things currently, they can "restore" your exact setup onto your account with them so you don't have to set everything up again. Even e-mail accounts and mailing lists can be moved over intact. (I would back up the MySQL database just to be certain. But I've done one such move, and the databases migrated seamlessly also.)

Thanks Tim. I'm specifically looking for web hosts that already have Wordpress installed and offer it to their customers. Do you know if that's the case for the hosts you recommend?

I'd look at Jatol.com, the webhosting service that I use. They're a somewhat small but highly reliable and responve webhosting outfit. Their prices are competitive. I'd also look at HostingMatters.com which is based, I believe, in Hawaii. So you may not get there but at least your website can...

My experience with picking a webhost is that there is a lot of flim-flam if you try to use the internet to dig up names. The way that has worked for me is to do what you're doing, ask people for suggestions and experiences.

Good luck!
