I&#039;m always amused at the attitude of &quot;we&#039;ve already discussed that&quot; or better yet, &quot;bloggers are all just a bunch of people talking to themselves.&quot;  Well, DUH!  If blogs are &quot;conversation&quot;  shouldn&#039;t that mean people talking about things that interest them - when it interests them?  If you are at a party and you don&#039;t like the topic, you move to another pod. It is no different here.   If you are tempted to say &quot;the conversation is over&quot; ask yourself if you aren&#039;t applying  &quot;old media&quot; thinking to modern media.  

We need to rethink press releases and the products of public relations in general.  At the moment, press releases still have a function as a certain class of document.  However, very soon a &quot;document&quot; will simply be the sum of links.</description>
