Last night I published my quasi-weekly e-mail newsletter announcing recent postings to this weblog. That issue contained several weird question marks where single or double quotation marks should have appeared…
I create my e-mail newsletter in a text editor and then copy it over to e-mail. I’m trying out a new text editor for the Mac, and apparently the way I saved the file in that software introduced some character-related weirdness. I did not see this problem in my display preview of the newsletter (via e-mail) – it only showed up in the final version.
Sorry about that. I’ll fix it.
