let the reader see who would benefit from hiding this 
information.

Rather like discovering if a person is lying:- 
"so you went to get an ice cream"  "Did you see the
delivery truck skill all the candy bars on the road?"

If the person ws there they answer immdeiately.

If they were lying they mave to think what 
is the best answer.

So the questioner can tell the person is lying because 
of the pause!! 
Journalists need a similiar device.</description>
