Best Blogs: Nominate Your Favorites by Oct. 17

I mentioned this already in E-Media Tidbits, but I want to tell CONTENTIOUS readers too:

A new contest, the Best of the Blogs (BOB) awards, is being offered by the German international broadcaster Deutsche Welle. This global contest is open to blogs in Arabic, Chinese, German, English, Russian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

This contest is focusing is on journalistic blogs. Yeah, I know that begs the question: “What’s a journalistic blog?” I’d love to tackle that debate in the future. (Sorry, I don’t have time today.) Feel free to comment below on that subject if you like.

Prize categories are: Best Weblog, Best Topic, Best Design, Best Weblog Innovation, and Best Journalistic Weblog. There will be seven Best Journalistic Weblog prizes in all – one in each of the competition languages.

They’re taking suggestions for blogs to evaluate through October 17, so suggest your favorite blogs now.
