Finding Freelance Writing Jobs

A big part of what I do, aside from being an info-provocateur, is writing – journalism, web content, you name it. Since I’m independent, I’m always on the lookout for interesting writing opportunities that pay.

Where do I look? About.com’s freelance writing guide Anne Wayman has made it very easy for me. Here’s how…

Check out About.com’s freelance writing jobs page. Almost every day (even today, the major Labor Day holiday in the US), Wayman scours several writing jobs resources and lists in her About.com area all the good new job listing she sees that pay. Not all of them pay well, but some do, and many are interesting.

If you subscribe to the About.com freelance writers webfeed or e-mail alerts, you’ll receive announcements when she’s posted new jobs as well as other fresh content on that site. (More about webfeeds and how to subscribe to them.)

Wayman is definitely one of the better About.com guides – thanks for all the hard work, Anne!
